I love the sweet gentle intro of this and then around 1:30, it becomes so cheerful. Throughout the whole movement, you have this alternation between softer, more sober parts and these outbursts of joy. Like the music is trying to remain serious, but can’t help itself and simply has to laugh and be glad. I often play it while cooking and it makes chopping onions seem like dancing.

I’m rather apprehensive about this story, because of its slightly unusual format. I think it takes a skilled hand to make something like this work and I’m not quite sure yet whether I’ve achieved the level I wanted to with this. But on the other hand, I’m pleased with the concept and the ideas it contains and I trust the judgement of a good friend of mine, who considered it good enough to post it.
